Lost Colony...

I didn't realize Colony Records was still open until I saw this article which ironically discusses its plans to close. I used to passed by it all the time when I lived in New York (usually on my way to the NY Times).  Although I can't remember what album I bought, I did shop there at least once and saved the paper bag (above) because of the out of date, but great logo graphics that they were still using.

International Paper...

I'm happy to have my collage work alongside some great artists from around the globe in the latest edition of Colart Magazine. A few of the many collages chosen are shown above ( including one of mine), but check out more here. More of my collages can be seen here.

Chair-ish...

100 Chairs in 100 Days is an intriguing project by designer Martino Gamper. Using discarded and unwanted chairs Gamper's reassembled them over a 100 day period into new one of a kind creations. While each one explores the potential of design and creativity, he hopes that they also tell a story of their past lives. More here.

Plundering the Past...

Vintage art ( especially art deco and 50's modern)  has always been an inspiration for me. The book Modern Vintage Illustration which is being published next week by Anova Press focuses on contemporary illustrations with a 'retro edge'- including a few 'retro contemporary' works of mine. Two of those are posted above.

Different Points of View...

The Center for Land Use Interpretation could be my new favorite site. Going through their archives of quirky, off the beaten path images swallowed up a big chunk of my morning. Take a look.
