Among the zillions of skateboard graphics out there these designs for Girl Skateboards stand out for their simplicity, and for incorporating some classic mid- century chairs into their designs.

Combining my love of pop/vernacular architecture with illustration I've been using buildings in a series of portraits to tie in a little extra detail to the personality portrayed. In this recent illustration of M.I.A. the telecommunication 'masts' surrounding her relate to the theme and title of her latest single, 'I'm Down like your Internet Connection'.






While getting custom made vintage clothing from a place like Al's Attire would be nice, what I really like about this 'throw-back' haberdasher are the custom labels that clients get to detail their clothing with. More images from Al's here.





Czech designer Ladislav Sutnar was one of the leading avant-garde designers of the 40's and 50's. Sutnar began his career as a toy designer. Surprisingly he was never able to find a manufacturer for his Toy Town blocks, but luckily a few prototypes remain.
