Weathered Cover...
I love the watercolor art and hand-lettering of this cover. The book chronicles the devastation from the massive hurricane that struck New England in 1938. The text and images were compiled by the Federal Writer's Project of the WPA.

Trump's Legacy...
As a businessman Donald Trump has had some monumental failures and some 'questionable' successes ( and I know this from some very close friends of friends of Trump's who unfortunately I can't name;)), but this business and building may be the one best suited to carry on the Trump legacy.

Backspacing...
For those that miss the tap, tap, tapping of vintage typewriters there are these cool retrofitted usb typewriters to take you back in time. A nice photo homage to the typewriter as archived from the pages of Life magazine can be seen here.

Capturing Characters...

I first became aware of Miguel Covarrubias' work while looking through vintage copies of Vanity Fair when I was first starting out as an illustrator, later on I bought a framed map print he had illustrated that I found at a flea market. His style and wit make him stand out as one of the great caricaturists and illustrators. Click here to see more of his stunning work and read about his life.
