Since I've been collecting paperbacks I've become more aware of artists who use books to make art. Above are some of Artist Robert The's work. Why use books? The explains it this way: "Books ( many culled from dumpsters and thrift store bins) are lovingly vandalized back to life so that they can assert themselves against the culture that turned them into debris".
